The web should weigh
less, not more.

myClipr is built to four commitments: light, open, inclusive, honest. This page holds the receipts: the numbers we actually measure, the methodology we use, and the things we'll publish every quarter so you can hold us to them.

Light.

414 kB
TOTAL PAGE WEIGHT · GZIPPED

Every byte we send costs power somewhere. Today the landing transfers 414 kB compressed per visit — heavier than our 47 kB target. The honest split: 157 kB of shared JS that the marketing page inherits from the SaaS shell, 250 kB of preloaded woff2 fonts, and ~7 kB of HTML. We publish the gap rather than rounding it down, and we're trimming toward target (deferred-tasks K7).

DARK PATTERNS

You can export every bookmark in five formats whenever you want. The 7-day trial requires a card at signup so the subscription rolls over seamlessly if you stay — we use Stripe's native trial mechanism rather than pretending otherwise. Cancel button is one click and lives in account settings, not buried in a sub-menu. Export your data on the way out. The only lock-in is the lock-in of being good enough to keep using.

AAA
WCAG 2.2 CONTRAST · TOKENS VERIFIED

Every color pair in the design tokens passes WCAG AAA on contrast — the verification table lives in design_handoff_myclipr_v5/tokens.json. The full axe-core conformance audit is Phase 11 of the v5 plan and still pending; we say "contrast verified" rather than "conformance audited" until we have the screen-reader notes in hand.

RECEIPTS PUBLISHED

Every metric on this site is real. The CO₂ number on the landing is generated by scripts/measure-landing.mjs against the production build using the Sustainable Web Design v4 model. If reality drifts, the number drifts with it on the next release. Once a quarter we publish a full audit. The first report covers Q2 2026.

An honest methodology

Measured,
not estimated.

Page weight + JavaScript bytes are taken from Lighthouse in CI on a clean build of every release. Carbon estimates use the Green Web Foundation's grid-intensity tables. We refresh the numbers each quarter and archive the raw measurements under /sustainability/receipts. Email us if you want the underlying spreadsheets.

  • Sustainable Web Design v4
sustainablewebdesign.org/calculating-digital-emissions — energy intensity 0.81 kWh per GB transferred, split datacenter / network / device with separate carbon intensities.
  • Green-hosted datacenter
Datacenter component uses the Green Web Foundation's 50.4 g CO₂/kWh renewable average rather than the 442 g/kWh global grid.
  • Page-weight measurement
scripts/measure-landing.mjs reads .next/ build artifacts, sums gzipped JS chunks + preloaded woff2 fonts + an HTML estimate.
  • WCAG contrast verification
tokens.json carries pre-computed ratios for every ink-on-* pair. All pass AAA (≥7:1) for body text and AAA-large for body-on-coral when ≥18px.
  • Hosting verification
    thegreenwebfoundation.org/green-web-check/?url=myclipr.app — re-checked once a quarter alongside the receipts.

Twelve metrics.
Every quarter.

Once a quarter we publish all twelve numbers below. If a number gets worse quarter-over-quarter, the report says so: that's the point of publishing them. The first report covers Q2 2026.

Q2 2026 report (soon)
  1. 01Marketing-site page weight (gzipped) + CO₂ per visit, measured via Sustainable Web Design v4
  2. 02App-shell page weight + CO₂ per visit on a logged-in dashboard
  3. 03Average bookmark detail view weight + CO₂
  4. 04axe-core findings + manual screen-reader notes (NVDA + VoiceOver)
  5. 05Green Web Foundation verification of the VPS provider
  6. 06Uptime + median Convex query latency
  7. 07Trial-to-paid conversion (so you can see we don't need dark patterns)
  8. 08Refunds requested + granted
  9. 09Tickets opened, median response time, satisfaction score
  10. 10Open-source contributions made back to dependencies we rely on
