API Connection

Get your API key from the myClipr web app: Settings → Extensions → Generate API Key

Bookmark Bar Sync

Optional. When enabled, myClipr writes folders into your browser's bookmarks toolbar so you can open them from the browser UI.

How it works

  • Where: top-level folders on your browser's bookmarks toolbar (Chrome “Bookmarks Bar”, Firefox “Bookmarks Toolbar”).
  • What gets touched: only folders this extension creates. Your existing bookmarks aren't moved, renamed, or deleted.
  • Two-way for boards: deleting an extension-managed folder removes those bookmarks from myClipr. Mass-delete protection blocks any sync that would remove more than 50% of items.
  • Recovery: disable any time. You'll be asked whether to keep the folders (they become your own native bookmarks) or remove everything the extension created.

Quick Start

  1. Go to your myClipr web app and sign in
  2. Navigate to Settings → Extensions
  3. Click Generate to create an API key
  4. Copy the API URL and API Key into the fields above
  5. Click Test Connection to verify
  6. Click Save Settings
